About Sorrel & The Fox
I was born in North Devon and now live in deep in the countryside between Exmoor and Dartmoor. I have always had a passion for the flora and fauna around me, self-teaching myself the names of all the plants I would see whilst walking my dogs and being delighted when I found a new flower. The books would come out, taking them back to the flower if I was uncertain of its identity and learning a new name to add to the list. Now google picture ID makes life so much easier! So, this love of botanicals has carried through into my love of hand made toiletries.
As a child growing up, I was always treated to presents of things to make from my loving parents and family. From kits on making paper flowers, how to press flower books and then to my absolute joy, a flower press. This love of making things has continued with me as an adult and I am now passionate about producing beautiful hand crafted toiletries and lampshades. All toiletries are hand crafted and designs may vary from the pictures shown, please contact me to see my current stock of lampshades.
So why the name Sorrel & The Fox? I live with my husband and a noisy rabble of Jack Russell Terriers, amongst which is a beautiful, graceful, peaceful, Springer x Collie – her name is Sorrel.
Every winter foxes come into our garden, eating the spillage from the bird feeders, the wind blowing their stunning coats. The terriers – well you can hear them all over the county telling the foxes to ‘get off their land’! Sorrel wags her tail and thinks friends have come to play, so we called them Sorrel’s foxes. Looking for a name for my business my husband suggested ‘Sorrel & The Fox’ and I loved it and still do.
All the toiletries where required are manufactured in line with my Cosmetic Product Safety Report and comply with UK regulations. I am also a member of the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers.
All products are wrapped in recyclable, compostable, reusable or bio-degradable packaging. I will despatch items within 3-4 days, dependant on stock available. All orders are 2nd class or trackable with free shipping with orders over £30.
